Amazing idea....

Promotional ideas..... blllllurgh

  • Local Events and Activities: Use anything from setting up a booth at a street fair to sponsoring a little league team to display your product or company name.
  • Free Samples: Look for key locations where your target group can be found and give out free samples. If possible give free demonstrations of your service or product.
  • Contests: Find a prize of interest to your target audience and hold a contest.
  • Speaking Engagements: Contact local schools, speakers groups, and associations and inquire about speaking engagements, such as lectures, seminars, or classes that you can teach.
  • Fliers: Exchange fliers with other noncompetitive businesses who will display them at their location. Also find locations where you can post a flier or bulletin.
  • Vehicles: Paint the name of your business on any trucks you use and even put a sign on your car or in the car window.
  • Press: Develop a list of local editors and producers and send press releases of important upcoming activities. Also look for unique angles about your business that might make for an interesting story.
  • Newsletters: Email newsletters or print newsletters are an effective and inexpensive means of promoting your business.
  • Printed Matter: Promote yourself on all of your printed matter.
  • Contacts and Networking: Hand out your business cards to as many people as possible and network regularly to make new contacts.
  • In Store or Online Values: Offer special discounts for second purchases or free downloads online.
  • Attend Meetings of Professional Groups: Attend meetings of the Chamber of Commerce and other local groups where you can introduce yourself and your business to others.

Just ideas to spring board of for the promotional ideas of
mitternacht.

Eric Haze

Again not work that is relevant is terms of design direction but i just wanted to see how a designer works for or with such a tight selected audience. I think eric hare dose this well as he understand and is he audience something that i feel is or i want to be in my practice.

Dance made

So because i had a given subject i had to think of clever ways to enhance this. Again thinking about stock and print process for the letterheads and invoice's but also think about promotional tools such as the button above.

For me this work has the kind of anesthetic that is contemporary and also in the case of the public class work has a slight influence of techno using square shapes and limited giving of a digital feel.
Also really like how the branding is producing across a range with blank CD's being something i could use and also the poster at the bottom is still linked to create visual consistency.

Matthew the horse

Looked again into people who work within music. Although the work couldn't be further from what i want to achieve i think its good to look at people who communicate with a selected niche audience knowing what appeals to them and what doesn't.

More ICFF

As im adopting a given logo and brand ID im just looking at ways of making that given logo and branding a different atheistic using textures, half tone etc. I need to create a technoish look but with going to into machines, robots space. i feel that ICFF have achieved this in the above work.

also just liked the layout of the letterhead at the top i want to create something similar with a contempory feel that is useable, this will give a more professional feel to the brand.

ICFF

Decided to look at studio that have delt with the same sort of audience that i shall be trying to communicate to. Producing something of this look/ appeal would meet the the clients wants and needs as well as appealing to the target audience.

italy based dj and producer alex d'elia asked us to create a standard sleeve artwork for his upcoming sublabel frequenza limited.
the artwork is based on the idea to keep the main sleeve for every release but to change the colour of specific parts on the labels. this concept helps the label to get a continuous design and hence a high recognition value and emphasises the quality of the music. furthermore it saves money and is a good way to get a lot for a low budget. that can be pretty useful in the hard fought music market.

Felt the last point made was a interesting, keeping down cost of production is a key element to the brief as there is a very limited budget/ if any.

Thomas cook advert

This advert gave me the idea's for peoples mundane boring life or people who arn't happy with what there doing.

Monday, 8 March 2010

Just another example into how a advert can be used in a number of media's. this is the print advert, the tv ad is available to view below on a previous post.

Visual variations.

I thought i would into how TV advert can use the same visual appearance in both motion graphics and print. I thought a good example of this is how apple have used a visual tie through out the i-pod advertising both on screen and in print. I shall try to use this ideas to push my original story board concept ideas into other forms of media.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

Advert reasearch

This advert uses the veiwers anticipation as a build up to the joke. I think this could be worked into my TV advert ideas for the BME brief.

Just another example of how humor is used in TV advertising.

Advert reasearch

Advert reasearch

Another tv advert that uses humour to connect with its audience. The hardest task with the BME brief is that i need to/want to connect with a mixed audience. I may have to look it to what humour works with what audience and taylor each advert to there taste although i think just plain stupid humour sometimes can make even the grumpiest person giggle slightly.

Advert reasearch

This is the advert that i had in mind when i was thinging about my ideas for the YCN brief. I think that the way the advert uses panning shots and close up's really engaes the veiwer. The shots are intresting and different for the viewer but at the same time they can understand the story of a man walking round a supermarket. I also think that the advert has a humourous element which is something that would suit my idea for the BME adverts.

Visual research

More visual research into promotional literature from the Baltic Mill in Newcastle. After discussing with Mitch we have agreed on the clean clinical look with a hand rendered image twist. This will create a look that has richness and essence and at the same time the hand rendered illustration will show the fun and interactivity of the institution.

I suppose it also gives the idea of parent and child, clean, legible type = parent and hand rendered red and blue illustration = child.

Branding and website's

This is the kinda of visual we want to be aiming for, clean and professional means its legible and easy to understand. We want to add colour and images to bring out the fun element of our client.

This is the current BME website and also the madame tussauds website, i have no intention of design a site but i feel that the visual representation is present on the sites.

These two websites for me are cluttered and give off a look of a template. I understand they work and maybe are on the safe side but they just don't represent the client and what the experience is well enough.

So after deciding on our rationale i decided to look at the website of similar tourist and entertainment institutions. I felt that the website of the BME was something that could be re-worked to look more cutting edge and professional. This approach then could be used for the other material and promotion.

DVD interface's

These are DVD screen grabs of interfaces that have been designed by Eye Chart. All the above DVD interfaces have a strong visual connection to the subject matter. This is something i would like to recreate with my DVD interface.
